AIESEC Colorado

Dear alumni of AIESEC Colorado,

I wanted to take this moment to reflect on the past 6 months. It was
6 months ago that I joined AIESEC and began a truly transformational
journey. It started with me going to the Summer National Conference
where I re-established the committee of AIESEC Colorado, after it
was disbanded due to lack of membership. I was brand new to this
organization, and at the time didn’t understand any of the acronyms
or the crazy dances that we do. Well I’m happy I decided to stay
around because in the past 6 months I have grown as a person both
professionally, as well as personally, by stepping outside of my
comfort zone, which taught me a lot about myself. And it is you that
I want to thank, especially the person who first told me about AIESEC.

6 months later, AIESEC Colorado got the chance to travel to the
Winter National Conference, that is where we were awarded the
Expansion Award only 4 months after our first committee meeting.
We would like to thank all of you who came together to help
re-establish our committee. The 50th anniversary was an enormous
motivational
as well as financial contribution to our committee.
Everyone who
attended was inspired by your personal stories, and
as a result we
decided to invest in two of our members to go to
Ecuador, as well as
Peru, and personally experience what an
exchange is, but also get the
chance to create a direct partnership
with the host committee that we hope to work with directly in the
future.

We would like to thank all of those who inspired us to make a
difference. We now believe that anything is possible, only if we
commit our minds to it. We all desire to grow professionally, as
well as personally, and experience what AIESEC has to offer. We’ve
already made friends all over the United States, Latin America, and
we’ve become closer to each other because of working together.
We’ve also realized our potential, that we are actually capable of
much more than we imagined.
